Diva of the Week – Lilli

How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my personal style as classic, I guess. I like to wear clothes that reflect a kind of vintage aesthetic – structured shapes and timeless designs. That said, I love having things that you don’t see everyone on the street wearing – I buy a lot of clothes and accessories online, especially from Etsy, because you can get custom-made pieces that are unusual one-offs. The plus-size fashion range in Australia is pitiful and I hate that size 16+ Aussie girls are having to wear exactly the same outfits because there’s nothing else out there for them. It’s actually one of the reasons I started Frocks & Frou Frou (my fashion blog). I read a lot of plus-size fashion blogs, but more often than not they were featuring items from stores that didn’t have online shopping or wouldn’t ship to Australia – I wanted to help the other non-US plus-size girls find the resources that would allow them to develop their own style outside what the few plus-size retailers in Australia were offering.

What are you wearing today?
I’m wearing a Torrid dress that I bought secondhand from a fellow Fatshionista. It’s out there, but I love the psychedelic poppies! The shoes are from ZuShoes. I’m not sure where the bracelet came from – Himself gave it to me about seven years ago!
